While most people …
… were still defrosting their cars in February, I decided to switch hemispheres and head to New Zealand for some sunny off-season training. Turns out, riding bikes in shorts instead of snow pants is a pretty good life choice.

But this trip wasn’t just about shredding dusty trails and chasing sunsets. I also had some special company – the team from The Red Bulletin tagged along to capture what training “down under” really looks like. Spoiler: lots of pedaling, sweating, snack breaks, and a few unexpected goat encounters. They followed me around Queenstown with cameras, microphones, and way too much energy for that early in the morning. We talked bikes, mindset, and why New Zealand might secretly be one of the best places on Earth to train. Big thanks to the Red Bulletin crew for making it fun and easy – and to New Zealand for delivering on epic trails, breathtaking views, and good coffee.
